MDU, CRSU or KUK- From where to do B.Ed in Haryana?

MDU, CRSU and KUK all of these are state government universities which offer B. Ed in Haryana. Though all are reputed universities but some has flaws as well. Being No.1 educational consultant we get lots of enquiry to compare MDU Vs. KUK. Here are some of the main factors of these universities:

MDU Vs. KUK

Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak [MDU] and Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra [KUK] both are quite old and known universities. Also both are accredited as “A” grade university by NAAC. But still both are different from each other. One can get good percentage [1st division] in MDU but it’s not easy to get even passing marks in KUK. If one has full understanding of the subject and write in his own words then can scored good marks easily in MDU but that’s not the case with KUK. For KUK you must learn and write in bookish language to score good marks.

Syllabus

If talking about the syllabus of B.Ed in both Universities then it’s the same thing that you study but there is difference in its distribution in two years in both universities. In MDU, practical exam has been divided in two years span; whereas in KUK all the practical exams has been placed in 2nd year only. Also if you are doing B.Ed after a gap in studies then its difficult to do it from KUK as in 1st year one has to give 8 exams in comparison to 5 exams in MDU.

Passing Result

The passing percentage is always better of MDU than of KUK, from last few years there has been a huge difference in passing percentage of MDU and KUK. Also the result is always declared earlier by MDU than KUK. If one failed in 2nd year then get chance to give re-appear exam in December for MDU but in KUK you have to wait for one whole year i.e. give exam in June or July next year. One year of student is wasted in such circumstances.

KUK decision in 2019

The most bizarre decision taken by KUK till date is that they didn’t declare 2nd year exam result in 2019 of those students who have not cleared one or more exam of 1st year. If someone has not cleared any exam in 2nd year in this case he/she will have to wait for re-appear result of 1st year then only he/she can apply for 2nd year re-appear exam, which again waste another year of students.

The overall inference in MDU Vs. KUK is that MDU is much better than KUK in terms of exams, result, process, syllabus distribution and practicals. Besides all these factors MDU is nearby Delhi NCR and colleges are in NCR itself; whereas the nearest college for KUK is in Karnal, which is nearly 125 kilometre driver from New Delhi.
